Black Girl Ventures provides Black and Brown woman-identifying founders with access to community, capital and capacity building in order for them to meet business milestones that lead to economic advancement through entrepreneurship. Their Change Agent Program has chapters nationwide. Each chapter recruits 3–5 women hyperlocally to provide low-barrier access to capital, community and capacity through the BGV Pitch Program, entrepreneurial education and ecosystem building. With chapters currently in Birmingham, Durham, Houston, Miami and Philadelphia, your generosity can support the Change Agent Program’s expansion to Los Angeles and help to sustain the Houston chapter.
This experience raises funds for Charities Aid Foundation America (“CAF America”), a US-registered, 501(c)(3) public charity. 100% of donations for this experience go to CAF America, who will then grant the donations, minus the experience fees and costs, to Black Girl Ventures (the “Designated Grantee”). NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT OR DONATION OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE, PAYMENT OR DONATION WILL NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING. Capitalized terms used and not defined below have the respective meanings assigned to them in the Official Rules, available here.

One (1) grand prize winner (the “Winner”) + one guest (1) (“Guest”)
2. Sponsor:
Omaze, Inc. (referred to herein as “Omaze” or “Sponsor”)
3. Designated Grantee:
Black Girl Ventures (“Designated Grantee”).
This Experience is part of a fundraising campaign for Charities Aid Foundation America (“CAF America”), which is a globally recognized, United States 501(c)(3) public charity. Omaze transfers 100% of donations raised by an Experience to CAF America, who then uses the donations, less various Experience costs and fees, to fund and distribute grants to the Designated Grantee.
All Designated Grantees are pre-validated by CAF America to confirm they meet CAF America’s applicable eligibility requirements to receive grants. So long as the identified Designated Grantee remains eligible to receive grants from CAF America, CAF America will distribute grants to Designated Grantee out of the donations raised in this Experience.
If, at some point prior to the distribution of a grant, CAF America determines that an identified Designated Grantee is no longer eligible to receive grants, then CAF America may (i) withhold distribution of the grant until the Designated Grantee is eligible or (ii) grant the funds to another nonprofit with a similar mission to the identified Designated Grantee’s mission. If the donations granted to a cause other than the identified Designated Grantee(s), the Experience webpage will be updated to identify what entity(ies) were supported by the donations of that Experience.
4. Deadline to Enter:
This Experience begins February 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., Pacific Standard Time and ends May 11, 2021 at 11:59 p.m., Pacific Time (the “Entry Period”). Sponsor is the official timekeeper.
5. Entry Limit:
The maximum number of entries for any one person into this Experience (the “Entry Limit”) is six thousand (6,000), regardless of the method of entry.
6. Potential Winner Notification:
A random drawing will be conducted on or after close of Entry Period. Winner will be drawn from among all valid entries received by Sponsor during the Entry Period. Potential Winner will be notified, after the Entry Period and must timely respond in accordance with the terms and deadlines stated in the Official Rules.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period.
7. Prize Provider(s):
Omaze (“Prize Provider”).
8. Prize Details:
(a) The Grand Prize. Winner and Guest will receive a 6 day, 5 night trip to Scotland. Trip includes tickets for Winner and Guest on the Belmond Royal Scotsman "Scotland's Classic Splendours" 4-night journey with all meals and beverages included. Trip also includes a 1 night stay for Winner and Guest at Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland, with breakfast included. Additional activities include a trip to Ballindalloch Castle, a visit to Rothiemurchus Estate with a choice of country pursuits, and a guided tour of Glamis Castle and gardens. Roundtrip flights for Winner and Guest included (the “Grand Prize”).
All prizes are non-transferable. In the unlikely event that a prize should become unavailable (due to force majeure or prize not being suitable for the Winner, etc) Quintessentially Travel Ltd. reserves the right to substitute a prize which it may determine as being of equal value. A minimum six weeks lead time prior to preferred departure date is required for booking. The holidays are subject to availability and blackout dates will apply unless specifically pre-arranged prior to the prize promotion commencing. Blackout dates include peak Christmas, Easter and summer holidays. Additional blackout dates for the Belmond Royal Scotsman may apply. Winners must book their travel by May 11th, 2023. Winners will be requested to provide three separate dates of preferred travel and Quintessentially Travel Ltd. will work towards fulfilling at least one of those dates. Prizes are based on set guests indicated – any additional guests will be paid for by Winner. Once the package is booked it is non-changeable and non-refundable. Travel dates and names of those traveling are not changeable without incurring extra fees. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure when taking up the trip. Passports and Visas are the responsibility of the Winner. Quintessentially Travel Ltd. cannot be held responsible if the Winner or guest(s) fail to obtain the required travel documentation. Quintessentially Travel does not provide medical advice on health requirements when traveling. It is the responsibility of and at the cost of the prize winner.
(i) Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $20,000 (USD)
(ii) Anticipated Prize Fulfillment Date: TBD - travel must be booked by May 11, 2023
(iii) Any Taxes or Fees Covered: None
(b) Cash Alternative. If Winner does not wish to take delivery of the Grand Prize, or Sponsor determines that it cannot timely deliver the Grand Prize to Winner, for any reason, including without limitation due to legal restrictions, a force majeure event, failure of construction, or any other reason, the Winner may elect to take a cash alternative of $15,000 (USD) (the “Cash Alternative”). No additional prizes or compensation of any kind will be provided, if the Cash Alternative is awarded.
Winner must advise Sponsor in writing on or before deadline provided in writing from Sponsor, as to Winner’s election. If Winner does not timely notify the Sponsor in writing that (s)he is electing to accept the Grand Prize, then Winner shall forfeit the opportunity to elect the Grand Prize and Winner will automatically receive the Cash Alternative, and not the Grand Prize.
Sponsor reserves the right to require Winner to take the Cash Alternative and remove the option of the Grand Prize in the event that the Grand Prize cannot be fully awarded or otherwise delivered to Winner on or before the Anticipated Prize Fulfillment Date(s) stated above, for any reason, including without limitation due to a force majeure event, legal restrictions, supply chain disruptions, Prize supplier cancellation or delays, or failure of construction.
Except as explicitly stated, all Prizes are awarded as is, without any representations or warranties, and cannot be transferred, sold, substituted or redeemed for cash by Participant. Unless noted in the Prize details in this Section 8, Winners is solely responsible for all taxes, costs, and fees associated with Prize receipt, ownership and/or use.

9. Eligibility and Restrictions:
This is a Grand-Prize Experience (as defined in Section 2(A) of the Official Rules). Individuals who have won the grand prize in any Grand-Prize Experience (as defined in Section 2 of the Official Rules) in the immediately preceding 18-month period are not eligible to win.
Age to enter: You must be at least 18 years old to win. Guest must be at least 18 years old, unless the Winner is the parent/legal guardian of the Guest. No individual younger than 5 years of age may be a guest.
Prohibited Persons. In addition to those prohibited persons identified in Section 1(A) of the Official Rules, any individuals, or any employees, officers, and/or directors of the Designated Grantee(s) of this Experience are not eligible to enter or win this Experience.
In addition to all of the other requirements stated in these Official Rules, if the Potential Winner is a Canadian resident, (s)he must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question to be eligible to be confirmed the Winner.
Entry is subject to all applicable international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited. See the Official Rules for more details. In certain jurisdictions, local rules and laws may restrict or prohibit the award of certain prizes or impose additional restrictions on participation.
10. Winner Confirmation & Verification:
Potential Winners are subject to confirmation and verification by Sponsor in accordance with the terms and restrictions stated in the Official Rules. As part of the Winner confirmation and verification process, except where legally prohibited, Sponsor may conduct background check(s) on a Potential Winner (and any Guests of Potential Winner). Some or all of such background checks may occur prior to notifying Potential Winner and/or prior to awarding the Prize(s), as may be permitted by law. Participation in an Experience constitutes Participant’s authorization to such background checks, without Sponsor providing any additional prior notice or seeking any additional authorizations or consents from Potential Winner.

Fundraising Transparency
This Experience is part of a fundraising campaign for Charities Aid Foundation America (“CAF America”), which is a globally recognized, United States 501(c)(3) public charity.
(a) How it works: Omaze and CAF America work together to offer incredible Experiences, like this one. You don’t have to donate to enter, but if you do, Omaze transfers 100% of donations raised in this Experience to CAF America, who then uses the donations, less various Experience costs and fees (see more below), to make a charitable grant to the identified Designated Grantee(s). Omaze covers everything needed to run the sweepstakes. This means both CAF America and the non-profit grantees can spend less time worrying about raising funds and instead focus their energy on doing awesome work.
(b) Where does your money go: For Omaze Owned Experiences, like this one, Omaze covers the significant costs of securing the Prize(s), so for these, from every dollar you donate, 15 cents is guaranteed to CAF America and is used to fund and distribute the grants to the Designated Grantee(s). If there are multiple Designated Grantees, then grants of equal share are made to each. Typically, of the remaining 85 cents, about 70 cents is used to pay for Experience costs, including Prize costs, payment processing fees, and advertising to awesome people like you. (Omaze Owned campaigns require more significant marketing efforts since they cannot rely - or rely on a much smaller degree - on the work and name of celebrities to help raise awareness and promote the Experience). The remaining amount, which is typically about 15 cents of each dollar donated, goes to Omaze and is used to cover our cost of providing and maintaining the technology and team that makes this all happen.
