SEE International & Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA
About the cause
SEE International
SEE International works to create a world where everyone has access to high-quality vision care, regardless of who they are, where they live or their ability to pay. More than 285 million people are visually impaired worldwide. However, 8 out of 10 of these people have conditions that could be prevented or cured. Since its founding in 1974, SEE has screened more than 3.8 million people and restored sight to nearly half a million people around the world, all free of charge.
Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA
Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA cares for the physical and emotional well-being of children of all ages, from newborns to young adults. With its own dedicated entrance, Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA is a "hospital-within-a-hospital," located inside the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. UCLA's facilities are designed to serve the most critically ill children with sophisticated, compassionate care in an environment that is both welcoming and healing to children and their families. Mattel Children's Foundation, a philanthropic arm of Mattel, Inc., pledged $25 million toward construction of the hospital.
