Mencap

Mencap works to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and their families today, and fight alongside them for a better future. They envision a world where all people are valued equally, listened to and included. In a nutshell, Mencap tries to help in any area of a person’s life where they need support, and they team up with a network of over 400 local groups to do so. The services they provide range from round-the-clock care to helping someone join in with local leisure activities, and from providing information on things like employment and education to helping someone live independently for the first time.
