Laureus Sport for Good was founded because of Nelson Mandela’s belief that “sport has the power to change the world.” Laureus uses the power of sport to help tackle the causes of hardship through a worldwide program of community sports projects that combat social challenges facing children and young people, such as violence and crime, discrimination, lack of education, unemployment and preventable diseases.
