Who you're benefiting
Young Storytellers Foundation believes arts education is a right, not a privilege. They go into Los Angeles public schools that lack the resources for an arts curriculum and provide writing mentorship for the students. Professional writers teach nine-week courses where the students write their own original plays which are then performed by professional actors in front of a live audience of friends and family.
The Celebrity
Lady Gaga
In a world with roughly 7 billion people we can say with certainty that there is only one Mother Monster. In just the past four years, Gaga has sold 23 million albums and 64 million singles, attracted nearly 1 out of every 100 people on the planet to follow her on social media, inspired the University of South Carolina to offer a course called "Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame", and had the President of the United States describe meeting her as intimidating (she was wearing 16-inch heels). But even beyond being a singer, songwriter, performer, fashion mogul, fragrance creator, philanthropist, and champion of social justice, Lady Gaga has helped millions find the courage to be themselves. What would you say?
